Introducing our pilot Schools of Wellness
Part of HEY!'s efforts to increase youth wellness through education and engagement in mentally healthy activities throughout the school environment
HEY! is excited to introduce the Schools of Wellness, a new model designed to help schools across Greater Cincinnati become true centers of well-being for students, staff, and families.
What is the Schools of Wellness model?
The Schools of Wellness initiative is part of the HEY! Schools Working Group’s efforts to increase youth wellness through education and engagement in mentally healthy activities throughout the school environment.
Participating schools will complete a facilitated self-assessment that helps leaders evaluate current wellness initiatives, practices, culture, and policies. This process draws on the SAMHSA 8 Dimensions of Wellness framework, addressing needs from prevention to intervention and treatment.
The goal: to see schools become spaces of wellness where young people, staff, and families alike are supported in their mental well-being.
